A pancake can also be called as a hotcake, griddlecake and
flapjack. Pancake is a flat cake, usually thin and round, prepped from a starch
based batter that may contain eggs, milk and butter and cooked on a hot surface
such as a broiler or frying pan, usually frying with oil or butter.
